We are completely booked for 2012 but are accepting 2013 projects!

South Africa Honeymoon

Did you know that we offer a ‘honeymoon package?’ Take some of our cameras with you on your honeymoon, snap photos and videos of your travels, and when you return we’ll take everything and make a totally rad video. Here’s one from my own honeymoon to South Africa. Enjoy!

Melissa & Brett: Briscoe Manner

2012 is shaping up to be a great year – 23 couples in total and after our first wedding of the year took us to Orlando, our next one had us traveling to Texas to film Melissa and Brett’s beautiful day at Briscoe Manner. When Kenny and I arrived at Houston International Airport, we stopped and got a quick bite to eat in the terminal figuring we had at least 30 minutes until our checked bags arrived at the gate. Boy were we wrong. When we went to retrieve our... Read The Rest →

Renegade Princess – The Dream

Our talented friend Ann Marie Houghtailing took the story of her life and made it into an hysterical one-woman-show that has taken New York by storm. To help build hype and attract potential production giants like HBO and Showtime, we were hired to create a quick “tease” that would assist in their efforts. As someone who has seen the show, I highly recommend checking out the show the next time it’s in New York! About Renegade Princess: Renegade Princess is the myth of the American fairy tale undone. Exploding with... Read The Rest →

Jenn & Danny: St. Regis

Jen and Danny are a one of a kind couple – and when you see their first dance, you’ll get an idea why.  Full of life, in love, and surrounded by family and friends that are so supportive, it was easy to tell this wonderful story. Texans are awesome!

Well, we just returned home from our trip to Houston, TX where we filmed Melissa & Brett’s beautiful wedding at Briscoe Manner. After a 4 hour flight from New York’s La Guardia Airport to Houston International, we were greeted by one of Melissa and Brett’s family friends and driven an hour to our hotel. Since the venue was over an hour from where they live, most of their guests, including the bride and groom, were staying at the same hotel. When we arrived we were greeted with open arms and... Tara & Adam’s Snowy Central Park Save The Date Film!

Tara and Adam’s video save the date video for their June 8th, 2013 wedding in Ocean City, NJ. Shot in Central Park in New York City on January 21st, 2012. This was not the version the couple received – they opted for this version: http://michaeljustinfilms.com/tara-adams-snowy-central-park-save-the-date/, which incorporates audio from a Q&A session we did with them. The version you are about to watch uses just the lyrics of the song and the visuals we captured to tell the story. Enjoy.

Rob Sutton Photography

Yesterday we filmed for a short promotional piece for Rob Sutton Photography. Rob approached us and asked if we would create a film that would help showcase his photography and give people a glimpse into his passion. Rob specializes in actor headshot photography so he brought along Katrina, his actor friend who was the model for the day. After shooting at Rob’s favorite spots around New York City, we ended the day in Rob’s studio where we held an informal q&a session. Since our world is dominated by Weddings, it... Read The Rest →

Sophia Portrait

Over thanksgiving I was at my mother in law’s house with my camera. Sophia was sitting on the floor looking at her mother and the light was hitting her face perfectly. After I snapped this photo, she burst out laughing.

Lauren & Brandon: The Pierre Hotel

Lauren and Brandon tied the knot in New York City at the Pierre Hotel. It was a beautiful day so we opted for pictures around Central Park. The party lasted until the morning and we were so excited to be apart of their special day!

Sophia

After 6 months, we finally finished the film Sophia! This film was extremely difficult to make for many reasons. First, we had never told this type of story before so we weren’t sure what to expect. How much footage will we need? What kind of footage do we need? Should we focus on the parents? Maybe their first born? Secondly, we had to film on multiple occasions — five, to be exact — and we had to film them in between our regular jobs and all our weddings. And lastly,... Read The Rest →

Kristen & Tom: The Bourne Mansion

Kristen & Tom reached out to us after we filmed their good friend Brenna’s wedding film at the Bowery Hotel in 2010 (Kristen was actually Brenna & Will’s officiant!). We were so excited to have the opportunity to tell their story and reconnect with our friends. The Bourne Mansion is breathtakingly beautiful – add perfect weather and a couple that is truly in love, and you have the recipe for a beautiful wedding film. It was a day and night filled with laughs, cries, and the first time we’ve ever... Read The Rest →

Viviana & Tim: Falkirk Estates

Love at first sight – this couple knew there was something special the moment they laid eyes on each other. Married at the gorgeous Falkirk Estates in upstate New York, they were surrounded by their closest friends and family while they were pronounced husband and wife!

Krizia & Gordon: The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers

I remember speaking with Christine at Exquisite Affairs Productions regarding Krizia and Gordon’s New York City wedding. ”5:30am call time? Sure! Not a problem.” I’m not exactly the world’s best morning person, so after hanging up the phone, I thought to myself “oh boy, what did I get myself into.” And sure enough, when my alarm clock woke me up at 4:30am, I was still a bit hesitant. But then I met Krizia. Wow, what a person! She’s a firecracker with an addictive personality.  You can’t help but smile and laugh when... Read The Rest →

Jen & Matt: Tappan Hill

Jen and Matt took us back to a familiar place – Tappan Hill Mansion — for their beautiful fall wedding. Although we’ve shot there a number of times, we never had the opportunity to shoot a ceremony there…and what a treat that was! As the sun was setting over the river giving off the most beautiful golden orange, the two of them became husband and wife. We were honored to be apart of it.

Jackie & Michael: Gurney’s Inn

I’ve been on the other side of this story more times than I can count. Waking up early, excited to start filming the journey for another couple as they become husband and wife.  But this time, I was in front of the camera. I was answering questions, not asking them…and it was strange. I’ve been married a week and three days now. Since that amazing day, our flowers have died, our cake has been eaten, and those programs that took forever to make have inevitably ended up in the... Read The Rest →

Jessica & Jaime: The Fountainhead

It’s been a while since we posted anything on our site. That’s partly b/c I am prepping for my own wedding — which is now only a week away — as well as juggling the peak wedding season shoot schedules and my full time job at MSG. But fear not! Here’s our latest highlight film! Jessica and Jaime wanted a film that was extremely emotional and moving at times, but also fun and exciting — a definite challenge in a 3-5 minute highlight film. We needed a song that had... Read The Rest →

Christina & Domaine

While we are and always will be a cinematography company at heart, we do love photography as well and jump at any opportunity to dabble in it. Christina and Germaine loved our wedding film but asked us to take photos at their wedding instead. Here are a few of our favorites.

Jessica & Mike: Westmount Country Club

It’s amazing what you can learn from two strangers. When Mike and Jessica contacted us about their wedding, they were voices on the other end of the phone talking about their special day. Little did we know what incredible people we were about to meet. They are so incredibly in love with each other that it’s almost impossible not to feel warmer inside when you’re around them. We tried to capture and recreate that love in their wedding film — we hope you like it.

Lily & Jason: il Tulipano

You may remember this couple from their Love Story film we posted a couple months ago. Lily and Jason’s wedding was a celebration of love, deep rooted in family tradition. It was an honor to capture their day and we hope you enjoy their story! Photography: Tom Wang Photography DJ: Aria Melody DJ Venue: il Tulipano Church: St. Aedan’s Church

appflight final product

Remember the video we released titled behind the scenes at a Michael Justin Films shoot? Well, after a month of hard work, we finished all 14 videos! The guys over at appflight are really excited to have these as they get ready to launch their new site.

Kimberly & Matthew: Beckwith Point

Kimmy and Matt are two beautiful people — both inside and out. We’ve known Kimmy since she was in elementary school and when we heard she was getting married, we were honored to film her special day. We are extremely happy with this edit b/c we feel it captures all the emotions of the day: the laughs, the cries, and the love Kimmy and Matt have for each other and their families. We hope you enjoy it. Photography: Ricky Restiano Photography Makeup: JK Flashy Makeup Service DJ: Dance Time Entertainment... Read The Rest →

Ronny’s Proposal

Love is in the air…again! Our good friend Ronny approached us wanting to do something special for his proposal to his girlfriend Denise. Using nothing but his Flip camera, Ronny captured footage of them together and told the story of their relationship.  After dinner one night, Ronny came home and played this film we edited for them. He even caught the proposal at the end! Enjoy!

Michael Justin Films on Bridal Musings

It wasn’t a surprise to us that ‘Luck’ went viral (189,000 views as of this blog post). When we were approached by John to help film his special moment, we knew we were going to be apart of something big. One blogger, Elizabeth from Bridal Musing, picked up the video and even put out a follow up interview with John because of the overwhelming response. Today, she has posted another one of our films, our Creative Save The Date. Head on over and check it out. While you’re there, check... Read The Rest →

Lily & Jason’s Love Story

Lily & Jason wanted to share their love story with their guests on the day of their wedding. Rather than putting together a typical slideshow, they wanted to tell their story through video. We met them on a sunny Saturday in Hoboken [in the same park we filmed Tibor & Marta] and captured their story. After taking some B-roll around the park, we went along with them to their dance lesson. Here’s the final product — enjoy!

Luck

Today is a special day for us. For the last 5 months, we have been working closely with our good friend John on an idea for his proposal film. He came to us with an elaborate script and a shot list and wanted help telling his story. Over the last 5 months, we met with John, traveled with him around NYC, even to western NJ, and helped him turn his idea into a reality. What you are about to witness is nothing short of amazing — not because we helped... Read The Rest →

Behind the scenes at a Michael Justin Films shoot

We were recently hired to do some corporate promos for a company called appflight for their release of their new website (which I hear is almost ready to launch). Yusef and Matt, the brains behind the company, wanted a look that was both creative & fun and professional. We started prepping for the shoot around 2pm, putting up our white backdrop, setting up our lighting and teleprompter, and getting our cameras and audio recorders ready. By 4pm we were rolling and by 10pm we wrapped up the shoot. Here’s some... Read The Rest →

An Unexpected Time-Lapse Memory

I find that the best things in life are often unexpected. I woke up this morning to a beautiful day in New York City. Rather than waste it, I decided to take my camera into Central Park and snap some photos. After putzing around for about an hour and taking some [rather lame] pictures, I decided to do a time-lapse of the Bethesda Fountain. Often a nice tourist spot, I figured I would get a cool looking time lapse of the crowd. I set my camera and my intervelometer to take a photo every... Read The Rest →

Jamie’s Bridal Shower

You may recognize this bride from her Love Story Film or her Engagement Photos in Central Park. We were also asked to shoot some stills for the bride at her bridal shower this past weekend at the Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle, NY. Never one to turn down a chance to expand our photography portfolio, we jumped at the opportunity.

American.

I was about weeks into my freshman year at Boston College when my sister woke me up with a phone call I’ll never forget. She was crying. I turned on the TV and our lives were forever changed. 10 years it took us to find him. 10 years to kill him. Thank you servicemen and women who risked their lives to bring justice. Today, as always, I am proud to be an American.

Sophia is born!

There’s nothing quite like the anticipation of soon-to-be parents as they try to prepare for the birth of their child. Back in December, we started filming Julie and Paul as they readied themselves for their second child. 4 months later, we were there at Lenox Hill hospital to capture the birth of Sophia Marie. In a few weeks we’ll be filming the final segment of the film — then it’s editing time. Here are a few pictures from the night Sophia was born. We’re happy to report Baby and Mother... JumpStart Tutoring

Back in 1999, Matt Warshay started a tutoring business as a senior in High School. He started as a one man show, making phone calls, putting up flyers, networking — doing whatever it took to get his business name out there. 12 years later, he’s still going strong. His clients are happy, his students are excelling, and his business is thriving. We were excited to tell this story.

90 Years Young

This is the story of a life 90 years in the making, told through the memories of those who know it best.

A Tappan Hill Wedding

We filmed this wedding at Tappan Hill in Tarrytown, NY. The bride and groom were a beautiful couple who were a delight to capture.

Brett & Marisa: Indian Trails Club

In a month notorious for humidity and high temperatures, Marisa and Brett got married on the most beautiful day in August at the Indian Trails Club overlooking Franklin Lake in Franklin Lakes, NJ.

A Cross Country Proposal

Having trouble viewing this film? Try watching it in Lower Quality. It was February 2, 2007. I was at a party on the bay in San Diego and my friend Trevor told me a girl he knew was coming. “She’s got blonde hair and blue eyes…New Jersey chick too” he told me.  At the time, I didn’t think much of it, so I blew it off with a “Yeah? Cool.” A few minutes later, I watched someone cross over the grass and onto the sand towards me. I was blindsided by her... Read The Rest →
